
The President of ELCG, Rev John Shadrack Donkoh has been re-elected to serve another 3 years term as the President of the Church.
His re-election came after he obtained votes unopposed at the Church’s Delegates Conference at Bawku of the Upper East Region in Northern Ghana, on 21st March, 2021.
President Donkoh was re-elected with over 98% of the total votes cast. Other officers, including Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Boafo (1st Vice President), Mr. Alex Lanbon (2nd Vice President) and Mr. Kwame Poku-Boah (3rd Vice President) were also re-elected to serve for the next three years.
Rev. John S. Donkoh who served as missions strategist on various boards in Africa,faces again the privilege of expanding Christ’s kingdom through evangelism and missions as stated in his 10 years strategic vision plan.
President Donkoh’s Installation Service as President elect of ELCG as well as elected trustees of the church was held on the theme” The word of the Lord endures forever “1Peter 1:25
Following a week long Pastoral seminar crowned on Sunday,22 August, 2021. The church has in addition to the installation of the President of the Church also tasked its elected Trustees to work together with the President to achieve the goal of the Church.
Since taking over the helm of affairs of the Church, Rev John S. Donkoh has and his Trustees introduced numerous reforms into the church in line with the Ecumenical creeds.
At the installation service were cherished clergymen across the country and invited Guests to grace the occasion; Rev Dr George Black (USA), Rev Dr. Chris Ekong (Archbishop LCN), Rev. Dr Carl Rockrohr (Zion Lutheran Church,USA), Rev Professor Naomichi Masaki (CTSFW,USA).
It was all joy to celebrate such a wonderful time with many brethren across the globe. Many thank to the Installation Committee for organizing such an important program.
